The Sea-Bird SBE 19plus V2 SeaCAT Profiler CTD is used to measure conductivity, temperature and pressure with high resolution and accuracy in a wide range of research, monitoring and engineering applications. Usable at depths to 600, 7,000 or 10,500 meters, the 19plus V2 is a reliable data collection tool for water quality sampling initiatives.
The 19plus V2 can support up to seven auxiliary sensors in order to measure additional variables, including dissolved oxygen, pH, turbidity, fluorescence, oil, PAR and nitrates. Commonly used autonomously with internal data recording and internal batteries, the 19pus V2 can also be powered externally for real-time communication and data transmittal.
The instrument measures conductivity, temperature and pressure at 4 scans/sec (4 Hz), and can be operated in moored mode to record sampling data at user-programmable intervals. A pump-controlled and T-C ducted flow minimizes salinity spikes in collected data and allows for slower descent rates without slowing sensor responses—improving accuracy across depths.
The 19plus V2 is easily integrated with a Sea-Bird water sampler, the SBE 36 Deck Unit, and a number of auxiliary measurement sensors.
